Mexican president confirms Pemex petchem CEO

Manuel Sánchez Guzmán, who since November last year has been acting as CEO of the petrochemical division of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex; Mexico City), has been officially appointed to that role by Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto, Pemex has announced. Sánchez Guzmán started with Pemex in 2004 as an adviser to the petrochemical division’s management. He became manager of studies and projects in 2008, and between 2009 and November 2012 he was assistant manager of strategic planning.
