Mexican president confirms Pemex petchem CEO

Manuel SĂˇnchez GuzmĂˇn, who since November last year has been acting as CEO of the petrochemical division of PetrĂłleos Mexicanos (Pemex; Mexico City), has been officially appointed to that role by Mexican president Enrique PeĂ±a Nieto, Pemex has announced. SĂˇnchez GuzmĂˇn started with Pemex in 2004 as an adviser to the petrochemical divisionâ€™s management. He became manager of studies and projects in 2008, and between 2009 and November 2012 he was assistant manager of strategic planning.
