Lanxess expands plastics production in North Carolina

Lanxess has announced that it is expanding its Gastonia, NC, compounding facility for high-tech plastics by adding a second production line. The company will invest about $15 million to double capacity, to 40,000 m.t./year. Construction is expected to begin in the second half of the year and be completed in early 2016.
