JPMorgan Fund Buys Sonneborn from Sun Capital

One Equity Partners (New York), the private equity operation of JPMorgan Chase, has acquired Sonneborn (Parsippany, NJ) from Sun Capital Partners (Boca Raton, FL). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sonneborn, acquired from Crompton in 2005 by Sun Capital, is a leading producer of white oils, petrolatums, waxes and hydrocarbon specialty products. Sonneborn had revenues of $407 million in 2011, of which approximately half were outside of the North America, according to Moodyâ€™s Investor Service.
