Invista to Locate ADN Unit in TX,  Expand Aromatic Polymers

Invista says it has selected its Orange, TX, production facility as the initial location to install its next-generation adiponitrile (ADN) technology. ADN is a critical intermediate used to manufacture nylon 6,6, and Invista’s  technology includes a proprietary catalyst. It is expected to boost product yields, reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, enhance the stability of the ADN manufacturing process, and reduce capital intensity versus competing technologies, Invista says.
