IFF to Pay Mane $40 Million to Settle MMS Patent Claims

International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) says it will make a $40-million royalty payment to V. Mane Fils (Mane; Le Bar-sur-Loup, France) to settle patent and non-patent claims brought by Mane related to IFF’s marketing and sale of food and beverage products containing monomenthyl succinate (MMS). The lawsuit was filed by Mane in U.S. District Court in Trenton, NJ.
