Huntsman’s Operating Profits Drop; Battle with Hexion Goes On

Huntsman reported net income for the second quarter of $23.7 million (10 cts/share), compared with a net loss of $70.9 million for the year-ago quarter, on sales up 17%, to $2.9 billion. Adjusted net income from continuing operations fell 76%, to $19.9 million (9 cts/share). Second-quarter adjusted Ebitda from continuing operations fell 15%, to $209.8 million.
