Enterprise increases capacity  of planned Aegis pipeline

Enterprise Products Partners (Houston) is expanding its planned Aegis Pipeline to 20 inches in diameter, a size that will permit delivery of up to 425,000 bbl/day of ethane to petrochemical producers on the US Gulf Coast, the company said on 14 October. The 270-mile Aegis pipeline will originate at Enterprise’s Mont Belvieu, TX, liquids storage complex and deliver purity ethane through connections to other Enterprise-owned pipelines to ethylene production facilities between Beaumont, TX, and Napoleonville, LA, says Enterprise.
