EPA Details Plans for Peer Reviews Under TSCA

EPA has issued work plans for conducting peer reviews of certain chemicals as part of the agencyâ€™s agenda for strengthening its chemicals management program, using its existing authority under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). EPAâ€™s peer review for medium- and long-chain chlorinated paraffins is slated to begin by July 2013 and should be completed by February 2014. The reviews for antimony and related compounds, HHCB, methylene chloride, n-methylpyrrolidone, and trichloroethylene are scheduled to begin by April 2013 and should be competed by October...
