Dow Plaquemine ethylene supply curtailed for 3–4 weeks

Dow Chemical said on 30 April that ethylene supply from its Plaquemine, LA, facility will be curtailed for three to four weeks, and benzene supply for more than five weeks. Two separate process incidents during the week of 20 April disrupted operation of the LA-2 and LA-3 ethylene units, the company says. Dow also had problems with the site’s benzene unit.
