Dow, Cargill win EPA green chemistry award

Dow Chemical, Cargill, and Life Technologies (Austin, TX) are among the winners of EPA’s 2013 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award for innovations that prevent pollution and have broad applicability across the chemical industry. Dow has received the award for its Evoque technology, which uses a polymer coating that, when applied to titanium dioxide, improves dispersion of the pigment, decreasing the amount of the chemical needed and allowing it to work better.
