Commodity Firms Close 2010 On A High Note

Higher volumes and selling prices continued to propel fourth-quarter profits ahead of analysts’ estimates. Huntsman, the only firm to post a decline in income, reported earnings of $30 million (12 cts/share) for its fiscal quarter ended December 31, down from $66 million (26 cts/share) in the year-ago quarter.
