China Investigates Alleged Polysilicon Dumping

China’s Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom; Beijing) says it will begin antidumping and antisubsidy investigations into imported solar-grade polysilicon from the U.S., and launch an antidumping probe into imports of polysilicon from Korea. Mofcom says the move is in response to requests from leading Chinese polysilicon producers­­ to investigate possible dumping of U.S. and Korean polysilicon and for a countervailing duty investigation of imports from the U.S. Measures to be investigated include a federal manufacturing tax credit and state incentives.
