Calumet Specialty Products Acquires Lubricants Firm

Calumet Specialty Products (Indianapolis) has acquired lubricants maker Royal Purple (Porter, TX) for $335 million. Royal Purple makes lubricants aimed at the transportation, industrial and marine sectors. The deal is expected to close within the next six weeks. Royal Purple generated net sales of approximately $109.5 million, and Ebitda of $28.3 million in 2011, according to Calumet.
