Braskem to boost LLDPE, renews green PE distribution agreement

Braskem says it will invest 50 million reais ($22.9 million) to expand its production capacity for linear low-density polyethylene by 120,000 m.t./year at the Camaçari, Brazil, petrochemical complex. About 100,000 m.t. of the total will be in the company’s metallocene-based polyethylene (PE) range. The expanded production is expected to start in the first half of 2015.
