Albemarle expands at South Carolina, Pennsylvania sites

Albemarle is expanding its specialty chemical facility at Orangeburg, SC—a $65-million investment, the company says. Separately, the company has completed an expansion at its Tyrone, PA, specialty chemicals manufacturing facility. The Orangeburg facility manufactures fine chemical intermediates for its fine chemicals, polymer additives, and catalysts divisions. The company employs about 322 people at the 300-acre site.
