Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: United States/Americas AkzoNobel to build trimethylgallium unit in Texas6:21 AM MDT | October 5, 2012 | –Sotirios Frantzanas AkzoNobel says it is investing to increase production capacity at its La Porte, TX facility to meet growing demand from producers of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), to supply the semiconductor industry. The investment includes an extension of the site’s trimethylaluminum (TMA) unit and the construction of a new trimethylgallium (TMG) plant. The project will make AkzoNobel’s La Porte facility the largest of its type, the company says.
