Air Products has announced a definitive agreement to purchase a 67% stake in Indura S.A. (Santiago, Chile) for $884 million. The deal gives Air Products the number-two position in industrial gases in Latin America, the second-highest growth region after Asia. The purchase price values Indura at 13 times Ebitda for the 12-month period ended March 31, 2012. Indura had 2011 sales of $478 million, of which 85% were generated by packaged gases.
