Air Products acquires liquid carbon dioxide firm EPCO

Air Products says it has acquired EPCO Carbon Dioxide Products (Monroe, LA), a privately held producer and marketer of liquid carbon dioxide (CO2). The purchase price has not been disclosed. EPCO, which was established in 1987, had sales of about $60 million in 2012 and was the largest independent liquid CO2 company in North America, Air Products says. EPCO employs about 170 people and focuses on the production and distribution of liquid CO2 for the food and beverage, oilfield services, and chemicals markets.
