Activist hedge fund takes 9.8% stake in Air Products

Pershing Square Capital Management (New York), a $10-billion hedge fund run by activist investor Bill Ackman, has acquired a 9.8% stake in Air Products valued at more than $2 billion, according to regulatory filings disclosed on 31 July. The firm, which often takes an active role at investments, says in the filing that Air Products “is undervalued and is an attractive investment.”...
