ACC: Chemical activity flattens on harsh winter

ACC has released its monthly Chemical Activity Barometer (CAB), showing that the nine consecutive months of gains have come to a close. Seasonal factors from the unusually harsh winter weather across parts of the United States have likely skewed statistical reporting from government agencies, ACC says. On a three-month moving average, the CAB was flat in February. However, the barometer is up 2.1% over a year ago—a slower growth pace year-on-year, ACC says.
