Invista plans $500-million ammonia plant at Victoria, TX

Invista says it is considering constructing a combined hydrogen and anhydrous ammonia plant, valued at more than $500 million, within the company’s nylon-6,6 intermediates production site at Victoria, TX. The plant is expected to produce more than 400,000 m.t./year of ammonia and could be operational in 2017, pending final approvals, permits, and authorizations, Invista says....
