UPM, Renmatix sign biochemicals development agreement

UPM (Helsinki) and cellulosic sugar start-up Renmatix (King of Prussia, PA) have entered into a nonexclusive joint development agreement to develop Renmatix’s water-based Plantrose process to convert wood biomass into low-cost sugar.
