Polysilicon supply issues drove Dow Corning to a loss, while Valspar was hit by declining international demand for coatings. Valspar cut its full-year earnings guidance. Koppers bucked the trend, with earnings up and ahead of analysts’ estimates, while Innospec earnings fell but came in ahead of estimates.
