BASF completes Becker Underwood purchase

BASF has completed the acquisition of biological seed treatment firm Becker Underwood (Ames, IA) from Norwest Equity Partners, for €785 million ($1.02 billion). BASF announced plans to acquire Becker Underwood in September 2012. BASF says the deal makes it a leading global provider of technologies for biological seed treatment as well as for seed treatment colorants and polymers.
