The takeover comes after several months of government pressure on the company to boost investments and output. The takeover would give the Argentine government access to YPF’s recently discovered shale oil reserves and natural gas production in the country. YPF’s chemical assets in Argentina include a refinery and aromatics complex at Ensenada near Buenos Aires, as well as a methanol complex...
