Wacker ends short-time work at Burghausen site

Wacker Chemie says it ended the short-time working introduced at the company’s Burghausen, Germany, polysilicon manufacturing facilities in early October 2012. Wacker took the decision because of growing demand from its solar-sector customers. The company is also ramping up its plant operating rates, which are currently at two-thirds of full capacity, to serve the growing demand.
