Wacker Eyes Big Polysilicon Expansion, Raw Materials Hike

Wacker Chemie, the second-largest producer of polysilicon, has the potential to more than double capacity to meet demand growth, particularly from the solar industry, Rudolf Staudigl, Wacker president and CEO, says. Staudigl, speaking exclusively to CW recently, said that the company could increase capacity to 150,000 m.t./year.
