Versalis and Yulex plan biorubber production in southern Europe

Versalis (Milan), a leading producer of elastomers; and Yulex (Phoenix), an agricultural biomaterials company, are forming a partnership to manufacture biorubber materials based on the renewable industrial crop guayule. The companies plan to build an industrial production complex in southern Europe by mid-2016. The partnership will cover the entire chain from crop science to biorubber extraction and will include the construction of a biomass power station.
