VCI Raises Full-Year Output Forecast

Engel: Strong demand is expected to last. VCI (Frankfurt), the German chemical industry association, has raised its growth outlook for 2011 output by Germany’s chemical industry following “unusually strong” growth early this year. Plants were operating at full speed and, at times, reached full capacity utilization, resulting in the highest-ever quarterly production and sales.
