Syngenta’s Sales Rise; Integrated Strategy Driving Performance

Syngenta reported a 9% increase in sales in the first quarter of 2012 with volumes advancing by 5% and prices contributing 4%. Reported sales were 7% higher at $4.3 billion. The company does not disclose first-quarter profitability data. Meanwhile Syngenta is making progress with plans for an integrated strategy combining commercial and R&D organizastions with a global crop focus.
