Syngenta to Fund Fine Chemical Expansion by Lanxess

Syngenta will fund a major expansion of capacity by Saltigo, the fine and custom chemical subsidiary of Lanxess, under a long-standing cooperation between the companies. Syngenta will invest a combined €50 million ($62 million) to expand three Saltigo facilities at Leverkusen, to enhance their capacity “significantly” for synthesizing active ingredients for crop protection agents.
