Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Europe/Mideast Sonatrach Picks Total and Consortium for Petchem JVs10:33 AM MDT | July 25, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff State-owned energy company Sonatrach (Algiers) has selected its foreign joint venture partners for two previously announced world-scale petrochemical projects at Arzew, Algeria (CW, May 31/June 7, 2006, p. 25). The company will link up with Total to build an ethane cracker and ethylene derivatives complex, and with a consortium including Lurgi, Mitsui & Co., and Qurain Petrochemical Industries (Kuwait City) to build a methanol plant.
