Solvay widens rare earths sourcing with Lynas plant

Clamadieu: Will form a significant part of resources. Solvay, the global leading formulator of rare earths and supplier of formulated rare earths, will increase its volumes significantly in the next few weeks, when Lynas’s (Sydney) rare earth separation plant at Kuantan, Malaysia, is online, Solvay chairman Jean-Pierre Clamadieu told CW recently. “We have signed a long-term contract with them to source separated rare earths,” Clamadieu says.
