Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Europe/Mideast Sibur and Solvay Confirm Vinyls JV in Russia6:59 AM MDT | August 7, 2007 | Ian Young Sibur (Moscow) and SolVin (Brussels) have selected Kstovo, Russia as the location of a previously reported chlor-alkali and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) joint venture (CW, Nov. 22/29, 2006, p. 19). Sibur has also confirmed CW’s earlier report that it will increase capacity at its Kstovo ethylene plant to supply the planned PVC complex. SolVin is a 75-25 jv between Solvay and BASF.
