Shell and ExxonMobil Mull Infineum Sale

Shell Chemicals and ExxonMobil Chemical are reviewing options for their 50-50 fuel and lubricant additives joint venture Infineum International (Milton Hill, U.K.), which could include divestment, CW has learned. The companies have appointed J.P. Morgan to act as financial adviser on the possible transaction. Further details were not disclosed. Infineum manufactures and markets lube additives used mainly in automotive, heavy-duty diesel, and marine engines, as well as additives for fuels and refineries.
