Shell Chemicals is advancing several petrochemical investment plans, including steam cracker projects in Qatar, China, and US. The company also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) earlier this year with the Iraqi government to build a previously announced petrochemical complex in Iraq. Shell, in addition, is evaluating projects to improve feedstock flexibility and debottlenecking capacity at its Singapore; Moerdijk, Netherlands; Norco, LA; and Deer Park, TX, olefin plants.
