Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: Europe/Mideast Saudi Kayan Commissions Major Complex at Jubail2:13 PM MDT | October 17, 2011 | —NATASHA ALPEROWICZ Saudi Kayan Petrochemical, a Sabic affiliate, has begun production at the company’s Jubail, Saudi Arabia petrochemicals complex. Most of the production units at the complex are operational, including plants with capacity for 350,000 m.t./year of polypropylene; 400,000 m.t./year of polyethylene; 260,000 m.t./year of polycarbonate; and 566,000 m.t./year of ethylene glycol. The complex’s main production facility is a 1.5-million m.t./year ethylene plant. The complex, once fully ramped up, will have a total capacity of 4 million m.t./year. Sabic owns 35%...
