Sabic to Build the Mideast’s First Oleochemicals Plant

Sabic says it has signed a technology licensing and engineering deal with Lurgi for an oleochemicals complex at the Jubail, Saudi Arabia production site of Saudi Kayan Petrochemical, a Sabic affiliate. Start-up of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2013. It will be the first oleochemicals plant to be built in the Mideast.
