Rosneft Upgrades Angarsk Petrochemical Complex

Rosneft (Moscow), a state-owned energy group, is upgrading its Angarsk, Russia petrochemical complex including the addition of plants producing polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). The company has selected Ineos’s Innovene technology for the PE plant and the Lummus Novolen process for the PP facility. The PE unit will use the Innovene S slurry process, supplied by Ineos, for the manufacture of high-density and linear low-density polyethylene. It will have capacity for 345,000 m.t./year and produce a full range of Ziegler and chrome monomodal and bimodal...
