Olefins-Aromatics Consortium Is On Track for Reach Deadline

The Light Olefins & Aromatics Consortium (LOA; Brussels) says it is on track to comply with registration requirements under the European Unionâ€™s (EU) Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) law. The groupâ€™s work involves 135 basic petrochemicals and plastics including benzene, butadiene, ethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene, toluene, and xylenes. LOA expects to have completed registering all 135 substances by early October, well ahead of requirements that producers and distributors of large-volume or potentially hazardous...
