New Company President Plans To Revitalize Rosneft

Sechin: A government appointee who earlier helped to reshape Russia’s oil sector. Leading oil and gas company Rosneft (Moscow) has appointed Igor Sechin as its new company president. The appointment was endorsed by Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev. Rosneft is majority state owned and has ambitions to expand its petrochemicals business. Sechin was deputy premier in charge of energy when Vladimir Putin was Russian prime minister.
