Merck KGaA Details Job Cuts and Site Closures, Invests €250 Million

Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany) has signed an agreement with employee representatives covering a previously announced efficiency plan for the company’s operations in Germany. The measures form part of Merck’s Fit for 2018 business transformation program that spans all of the company’s businesses and regions. Merck plans to eliminate about 1,100 of its 10,900 jobs in Germany by the end of 2015.
