LyondellBasell Closes Refinery Deal

LyondellBasell Industries says it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Shell’s refinery and related infrastructure at Berre, France. The 105,000-bbl/day refinery is adjacent to a LyondellBasell manufacturing complex that includes a steam cracker, a butadiene extraction unit, and polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene plants. The Berre refinery supplies naphtha, vacuum gasoil, and liquefied petroleum gas to the cracker.
