Most European chemical companies reported improved fourth-quarter 2010 sales and earnings because of stronger volumes and selling price increases. They are mostly optimistic that demand will continue to improve in 2011. Raw material costs, however, are still on the rise, and companies say they will have to continue raising prices to keep pace.
