Kemira Lowers Full-Year Sales and Profits Forecast, Citing Lower Demand

Kemira has confirmed that its revenues and operating profits for the whole of this year will be lower than originally forecast. The company says that, following weaker-than-expected volume demand in the fourth quarter of 2011 and high raw material prices, full-year revenues will likely be the same as in 2010 and full-year Ebit will also be unchanged or “slightly lower than in 2010.” The company forecast previously that full-year 2011 revenues would be slightly higher than the €2.16 billion ($2.9 billion) posted in 2010 and that, despite rising raw material...
