Jacobs Buys Aker Solutions’ Process, Construction Business

Jacobs Engineering has reached a definitive agreement to buy the bulk of Aker Solutions’ (Oslo) process and construction (P&C) business. The acquisition includes most of Aker’s chemical operations and is one of the largest such deals in the consolidating engineering and construction (E&C) industry. Completion is subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions, and the deal is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of this year.
