Ineos chair: Europe’s industry could vanish within a decade

Jim Ratcliffe, chairman of Ineos, says that much of Europe’s chemical industry could close within a decade. In a recently published open letter to José Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission, Ratcliffe expresses deep concern about the future of the European chemical sector and its 1 million direct and 5 million indirect jobs. “Sadly, I predict that much of it will face closure within the next 10 years,” Ratcliffe says....
