Gazprom, Sibur and Dow Revive Project

Gazprom, Sibur, and Dow Chemical have signed an agreement reviving plans for a joint petrochemical complex in the European part of Russia, CW has learned. A pre-feasibility study for the project, first announced in 2007, will most likely be completed by the end of the year, sources tell CW. The scheme involves transporting feedstocks from Siberia to a site on the Baltic Sea via an existing pipeline, which needs to be modernized.
