Ferro Closes Netherlands Dielectrics Site

Ferro says it plans to cuts costs in the company’s European dielectrics business by closing a manufacturing unit at Uden, the Netherlands by year-end. Approximately 120 jobs will be eliminated. Ferro expects the move to generate annualized savings of $6 million. Production of specialty dielectric materials that serve high-performance and stability applications will be transferred to Ferro’s Penn Yan, NY site, where the company makes specialty dielectrics.
