Evonik to Invest €500 Million for Methionine Plant in Singapore

Evonik Industries says it will invest €500 million ($641 million) to construct a previously announced methionine complex at Jurong Island, Singapore. The project is Evonik’s largest chemical investment, the company says. The methionine complex will have a production capacity of 150,000 m.t./year and it is expected to become operational in the second half of 2014.
